Thomas R. Kaplan serves as President of Kaplan, Krauss & Levine, LLC, Family Wealth Advisors. The Boca Raton, Florida based firm specializes in Planning, Life Insurance, Annuities and Family Wealth Counseling. With 30 years of professional business experience he is nationally recognized for his varied expertise pertaining to financial, tax, marketing and strategic planning issues. A large percentage of Mr. Kaplan’s time is dedicated to the senior retiree market. In addition his client relationships include:
Physicians, Attorneys, CPA’s & Financial Consultants, Owners of closely held businesses, Corporate Executives, Real Estate Developers, Professional Athletes and Entertainers.
Mr. Kaplan has received numerous awards and recognition. This past spring he received the 2007 United Jewish Community Leadership Endorsement Award. He was named as a member to the National Registrars’ 2005-2006 addition of Who’s Who in Executive’s and Professionals. In the fall of 1994, he was named an “Up and Comer” by Price Waterhouse and South Florida Magazine. He is a past recipient of the Jewish National Funds’ prestigious “Shalom” Award.
In the spring of 2005 he was featured on the cover of “Partner Magazine”. His articles and columns have been published in numerous regional and national publications. He has also co-authored a book “Getting to the Heart of the Matter, a Revolution in Estate Planning”. He is also a member of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table – “Top of the Table” - an organization of the top insurance professional in the world.
Mr. Kaplan received his Bachelors of Science Degree from Boston University and a Master of Business Administration from the Katz School of Business at The University of Pittsburgh.
As a community activist, Mr. Kaplan is the immediate past President of the Adolf and Rose Levis Jewish Community Center. He is also the immediate past Chairman of The Jewish Community Foundation and serves as a Vice Chair and a member of the Executive Committee of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. He also serves on the Professional Advisory Board of both the Boca Raton Community Hospital and the Anti Defamation League. His additional activities include past or current Board or Officer positions with the Enterprise Ambassador program, Temple Beth El, The Jewish National Fund, Israel Bonds, Florida Philharmonic, and numerous other professional, community and civic organizations.
Mr. Kaplan is a nationally recognized speaker and has served as a guest lecturer at various colleges and universities on a variety of business and financial topics.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he has lived in Florida for over 30 years. Mr. Kaplan resides in Boca Raton with his wife and two daughters.
